Description

The American Red Cross has always had a special relationship with America's armed forces, assisting military families in crisis and providing emergency communication support. When a new enlistee joins the armed services, they go with their families through a Military Entrance Processing Command center (MEPS.) The MEPS in North Chicago is a bustling center where we need more caring and friendly Red Cross volunteers to share important information about the services we provide. This information gives great peace of mind to the families of our service personnel, and it's a privilege to be able to support them. We have an immediate need for at least 5 new volunteers to help on Tuesdays. We have a special preference for fluent bilingual volunteers who speak Spanish and English (but we are accepting helpers who only speak English, as well.) If you have a passion to give back to the active duty service members who give so much for our country, this is a fantastic opportunity for you!
