Who We Are
Save lives by meeting the most critical needs in our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer.
What We Do
The Race for the Cure is Komen’s signature fundraising event. It’s a day where we can put aside everything else in our lives and share our stories, our laughter, and our tears to raise money that saves lives while we celebrate survivors, those living with breast cancer, and honor loved ones lost. This October, community members from around the greater Chicago area will gather together for the Race for the Cure to celebrate the strength and resilience of all people affected by breast cancer while also raising vital funds to help Susan G. Komen invest in groundbreaking breast cancer research AND provide real-time assistance to help with treatment, medication, transportation services, and so much more. Volunteers play a critical role in the success of the Race for the Cure, and we hope you will join us in our passionate fight against breast cancer.
