We are in need of volunteers in our Neat Repeats Resale Shops in Orland Park, Illinois and Worth, Illinois.

Perform various sorting, tagging, greeting, merchandising or cashiering tasks to ensure the successful operation of our resale stores. All training is provided.

We ask for a once a week commitment of 5 hours. The shifts available are Monday thru Saturday 10-3 or 11-4, or Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday 2-7.  Consider joining our family of dedicated volunteers to further the work of Crisis Center for South Suburbia in providing needed services to survivors of domestic violence.

Serve as a receptionist in the administrative offices of Crisis Center for South Suburbia Tinley Park location.

This is an indoor, seated position. Duties include accepting package deliveries, answering the door for visitors, notifying staff when visitors arrive, monitoring reception area and some light clerical duties. The confidentiality of the staff and visitors is of high importance. All training will be provided.

We ask for a regular commitment of 3 hours once a week. Shifts are weekdays10:00am -1:00 pm, 1:00 -4:00 pm, or 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm or Saturday 9:00 am - 12:00 noon.

Flexible schedule picking up and delivering items in the Worth, IL., Orland Park, IL., and Tinley Park, IL. areas on the agency truck. Must be able to lift, carry, and move furniture for distribution to Neat Repeats resale stores. You will work in tandem with other volunteers and/or Crisis Center staff. All training provided.

This opportunity is located in our Neat Repeats Orland Park or Worth, Illinois stores. Sorters are responsible for preparing items for resale by pricing, tagging, and steaming items before placing them on the sales floor. All training is provided.

Looking for volunteers who can perform various maintenance jobs in the Orland Park or Worth Neat Repeats stores. These are minor repairs and general assistance in either or both of the resale stores. Day and time are flexible. The stores are open Monday thru Thursday 10-7 and Friday and Saturday from 10-4.

Assist with the acceptance, sorting and shelving of donated items in our Tinley Park indoor warehouse. 

We ask for a weekly commitment of 3 hours on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday mornings from 9-12.  All training will be provided and you will work along with staff and other volunteers. 

Answer the phone for incoming calls, requests for information, client appointments, etc.

Requirements:

Community Ambassadors are responsible for creating awareness in our community about domestic violence and also educate the community about the Crisis Center for South Suburbia, its mission and programs. Responsibilities may include distributing posters, and valuable resource information, and working at local resource fairs, and events to promote the agency and educate the community. We ask for a regular commitment of one 2-3 hour local event monthly of your choice. All training and materials are provided.

The Administrative Volunteers help the Crisis Center for South Suburbia's day to day administrative needs. This may include  making phone calls, copying, collating, stuffing envelopes, and mailing. Dates and times are flexible. Location indoors,  Tinley Park administrative office.
