Description
JOIN US for another year of service on MLK Day! In celebration of Martin Luther King Jr.'s National Day of Service, we will package diaper donations for distribution to the community. The diaper packaging event will take place at the House of Prayer Church, located at 480 Lakewood Blvd, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Stick around afterward to help load and transport packaged diapers.
The event is family-friendly, and volunteers can be anyone who can count to 25! If you are a minor attending this volunteer opportunity alone, please have a parent or guardian complete the signed waiver below.
Donating diapers to the cause:
1. You can bring your diaper donations with the day of the event. Donate any size, including pull-ups. Open packages are welcome. Donations are not required to participate in service!
2. If you can't attend the event, you can drop off donations at Freedom Hall (410 Lakewood Blvd, Park Forest) from December 17th - January 17th, open Tue-Fri 11a-4p.
What You'll Do:
- Package diapers in bags of 25 and add educational information - our goal is to bundle 10,000 diapers!
- Bring diaper donations to the event - any size, any quantity, including open packages.
- Snacks and/or light lunch will be provided.
- If you can stay after, help loading and transporting diaper packages is appreciated!
We're excited to have you! Send us a message or email omani@giftsfromliam.org if you have any questions.
