Our mission is to build a vibrant community where Christian women and girls of color thrive as servant-leaders, humanitarians, and philanthropists, making a significant impact on the world through their faith. We envision Christian Women and girls of Color impacting the world as Motivational, Inspirational, Successful, and Spirit-led (M.I.S.S) Kingdom Leaders Our founder, Alexandria, is a dedicated nonprofit leader and emerging philanthropist in the Greater Chicagoland area, deeply rooted in her Christian faith. At the age of 18, she experienced a profound spiritual moment, hearing a gentle voice whisper the word "Miss," a revelation that ignited her purpose. Driven by a desire to empower young women, Alexandria entered the Miss Chicago 2010 pageant, building her platform around the "Miss Inspiration Organization" to uplift young girls struggling with identity, depression, and anxiety. Through her volunteer work with various Chicago-based philanthropic organizations, she observed a significant lack of diversity and supportive spaces for Christian women of color. Recognizing this critical need, Alexandria founded She Is Kingdom She Is M.I.S.S. in 2023. This organization serves as a vital pathway for Christian women and girls of color to: Build a strong sisterhood: Connect with like-minded women and foster meaningful relationships. Empower their leadership: Develop their leadership skills and make a significant impact on their communities. Integrate faith and action: Align their faith with their philanthropic endeavors. By creating a supportive and inclusive space for Christian women and girls of color, "She Is Kingdom She Is M.I.S.S." aims to empower them to become influential leaders in social impact and philanthropy. Alexandria's own journey exemplifies the power of faith and purpose-driven leadership. A graduate of DePaul University's Kellstadt Graduate School of Business (top 15% of her class), she is a ForbesBLK member, a BWPL 40 Under 40 honoree, and a respected leader within the Chicago nonprofit sector. Build strong and supportive networks: Foster meaningful relationships and cultivate a sense of belonging within a community of faith. Lead with purpose: Develop their leadership potential, cultivate confidence, and become agents of change within their communities. Embrace social justice: Advocate for equity and justice while demonstrating compassion and empathy for others. Prioritize holistic well-being: Cultivate a healthy mind, body, and spirit through self-care practices and spiritual nourishment. Find inspiration in their faith: Draw strength and guidance from their faith to navigate challenges and achieve their goals. Through our programs and initiatives, we equip women and girls to become motivational, inspirational, successful, and spirit-led Kingdom Leaders who make a lasting and positive impact on the world Last August, we hosted our first annual back to school drive that served kids in the Maywood and Old town/Lincoln park community.
