Gentiva Hospice

We are a hospice company that helps people at the end of life.

we recruit volunteers to share their gifts/talents with patients on hospice services and/or have a conversation, play games, put together puzzles, look at family photos, play music, listen to music, read aloud, take a walk, color, or just about any other activity the patient/volunteer can do together. 1) Veteran-to-veteran volunteer program: we pair veterans with veterans on hospice because there are some things only another veteran will understand. Veteran volunteers sit with vets on hospice to provide companionship, help process events from being in the service, talk, watch movies. Swap military experience stories, and help us to honor veterans through a pinning ceremony where we pin the veteran on hospice services, give them a certificate and a US Flag, and celebrate with cake, balloons, and/or sparkling juice. We are partnered with We Honor Veterans as a way of being intentional about recognizing veterans.
